Golden Blood - 2

  1. GOLDEN BLOOD 2 - A black ink and gray pencil drawing on an 11 x 14 size vellum paper. It appears in the book, "GOLDEN BLOOD" by Jack Williamson, published by Tamerlane Press in 1978.

This novel is a fantastic romantic adventure about a lost world in an ancient desert, in times past, and my drawings were intended to evoke that kind of feeling to the readers of the book.

However, if you enjoy looking at beautiful drawings of ancient worlds, I recommend you obtain books illustrated by David Roberts. I own the boxed set, "The Holy Land, and Egypt & Nubia," which also includes a slim illustrated volume about the artist, David Roberts.

There are some artists whose artwork is so impressive, of such high merit, their works stand supreme, their artwork can never be transcended. Other artists may reach that same high mark, but none of them can be said to be better than the others on that level. David Roberts is that kind of artist. If you appreciate "drawing," You owe it to yourself to look him up.
